Little ideas to help you spruce up little spaces in your home. Most of these are fairly simple, although some involve a little more time and patience. Regardless, any of these additions will add a last minute festive punch to your decorating. Have fun with it!

Happy Wednesday to all!...

What a fun extra part to have to decorate! Stairs just give you that extra little bit to play with and are an excellent way to lift the eyes upwards. I always wrap my banisters in garland and add ornaments, but there are obviously so many more options to individualize your space - candles, draping garland, hanging Christmas cards, crepe paper bells, hanging stockings, hanging white lights (how fine is that image?!).

Happy Sunday!...

Well, as promised (to Jenn and Alicia!) a post on table settings. There are so many fun things you can do with the table. If you have a standard rectangular one I suggest a center focus that is not too high and an even spread down either side. This can be accomplished with fresh greenery. I love white lilies at a Christmas table mixed with the greenery. Throwing pine cones, ornaments and candles in the mix always ups the ante! I love having a nice place card with a small gift or ornament as the holder. I am also a fan of greenery sprigs tied into the napkin ring or string. I hope this helps! Happy table setting! And Jenn - you just get the goods and I'll be there next week to execute!

Happy Week before Christmas Friday everyone!...

How do you decorate your mantle? There are so many endless possibilities and ways to really have fun when putting your Christmas decorations on top of the fireplace. It is the perfect focal point to exercise symmetry as I would probably do. If you go with the standard garland it is easy just to throw additions in there (pine cones, feathers, berries, candles, ornaments) and just kind of go for it. Candles, greenery, or a row of objects all work. The main goal is for you to enjoy what you are looking at every day and it is a bonus if your guests enjoy it, too!
Happy Tuesday to all!...
