Oh summer! What an awesome season! I love how schedules become lax and the days are longer & somehow a nap mid-afternoon does not make you feel as guilty as taking one in the fall, winter or spring. Flip flops and tank tops become staples and stopping for a scoop (or two) of ice cream is a necessity. The heat in Houston this past summer has been insane, but luckily I have escaped to Colorado and am definitely enjoying the relaxed pace of the season before jumping back into a hectic work schedule this coming fall. I'll miss you summer...until next year!

Upholstery details are so much fun! I have always had a thing for tufting. Visually it is just pleasing to the eye. There are several different ways to have a piece of furniture tufted, giving the client endless options. The buttons can be covered in the same fabric as the furniture, they can be covered in a contrasting fabric to give the piece a little more detail, or there can be ties made. I have a wonderful upholsterer who offers me suggestions that I often would not come up with on my own. I love the fact that if I am stumped I always know that I can work with him to come up with something fab! Thank you Brian!!!

Isn't that the truth? Love makes this little old world go round. Art that expresses love (really any type of love) makes me happy. It is just such a positive word that emotes so many positive and happy feelings in so many people. I am a big believer in karma and doing the right thing and I think that the general principal of loving one another is one of the keys to a happy life. And I am not afraid to let the people in my life that I love know it! Even George ;) So I suggest surrounding yourselves with the people you love while doing the things that you love to do!
