The long, lazy summer days are sadly coming to an end with the new school year having just begun.  I love the summer and the carefree long days that it brings.  It always conjures images of the beach, long bike rides, plates full of fresh food, travel and lots of happy people and memories!

Oh summer! What an awesome season! I love how schedules become lax and the days are longer & somehow a nap mid-afternoon does not make you feel as guilty as taking one in the fall, winter or spring. Flip flops and tank tops become staples and stopping for a scoop (or two) of ice cream is a necessity. The heat in Houston this past summer has been insane, but luckily I have escaped to Colorado and am definitely enjoying the relaxed pace of the season before jumping back into a hectic work schedule this coming fall. I'll miss you summer...until next year!
