What in the world do you do with all the family photos??? Frame them in similar frames and hang them in a hallway or stairway. Just be sure to have them hung by a professional and on double hooks to prevent many headaches! A small investment for a picture perfect room!

If you are lucky enough to have a pair of windows on either side of your bed then you are set! If not, fake it with mirrors. The light or reflection of light from windows or a mirror can do wonders for opening up your bedroom. Of course, the windows would have to be a much more thought out process which new home builders have as an advantage. For the rest of us, over sized mirrors can definitely get the job done!

We'll miss you! I have had such a delightful summer working on a project in Colorado. I have been lucky enough to escape the brutal Texas heat and even luckier to be able to stay one more month to finish my project and to watch Fall come upon the mountains! I will miss the crisp whites, the long, easy days, the great summer reads, and the cool summer nights. Even so, I am looking very forward to Fall and all of the exciting new projects that await me at home.

I'm not sure anyone is able to say the word "vain" without thinking of Warren Beatty and/or Carly Simon - I certainly cannot! Aren't vanities just the bee's knees? Our own little spaces for primping! The necessities are a beautiful lamp, a pretty stool or chair and a good mirror. Flowers and pictures of loved ones add a nice touch. The area has the ability to be such a glamorous space that you will be looking at often, so why not make it beautiful?
